Okay, this is an unusual post. A friend of mine recently donated a kidney to a desperately ill man in order to give him a fighting chance of life. It was an extraordinarily selfless act, but sadly in the end, he didn’t make it and passed away.
In order to get his wife and young daughter to his bedside before he passed on, it was necessary to charter a private plane. This ended up costing the family €15,000 as this happened at the same time as the volcanic ash issue last week.
